If you want to find out what is going on in the Forest Sangha Tradition lay Buddhist community in and around Amaravati in the UK then read the Community Newsletter. As well as articles, news and poems, we include programmes of lay-retreats and days of practice. The Community Newsletter is produced around two or three times each year by volunteers in the UK. Paper copies are mailed to AUA members and we also host an 'e-zine' version on this web site. Printing and mailing hundreds of newsletters is an expensive and time-consuming business for our small editorial and production team. Earlier versions of Community are included in modified form on this web site. We have now presented recent newsletters as close facsimiles of the printed versions by converting the MS Publisher files to Acrobat PDF format. The Acrobat versions are virtually identical to the printed copies, but include the original full colour illustrations. These should be printable on any local colour printer. Most PCs now have an Acrobat reader installed, however, they are free to download from the Adobe site (and lots of other places). We welcome any feedback on articles in Community and also letters and book reviews to be considered for inclusion. We also invite articles on Buddhist practice for consideration.
